My Uncle's Cock

Over 45 days, I documented this piece of raw meat as it slowly decayed before me. The rotten meat became a tool for channeling the feelings of self-loathing and shame that had been trapped within me, redirecting them to where they truly belong—to my uncle's body.

 

While photographs struggle to capture the disgust and stench of rotting meat, it’s even harder for any form of art or words to express the unspeakable truth of trauma. I am still working to reconnect with that lost part of myself.

Child Sexual abuse is a disgusting crime that destroys countless lives. The impact of CSA on survivors is life-long and can have devastating consequences, especially if it goes unthreatened. Numbers for 2023 of reported cases (and only reported cases!) of CSA are alarming, especially with the rise of internet-based CSA and social media child exploitation.
